Complete All of Your Secondary Tasks While Your Colleagues Are on Vacation

It’s holiday season now, so everyone quits their jobs for summer fun. If your motivation has dropped dramatically due to the fact that you seem to be the only one who is stuck in the office – and maybe even stuck – use the time to deal with all the little things that have piled up.

You may not be able to quit your job, but that doesn’t mean you can’t give yourself a little break. Harvard Business Review’s Dori Clarke thinks slow periods when everyone is out of the office are great times to tackle minor tasks that could hinder your productivity throughout the year. Chances are, you have a to-do list filled with less urgent tasks that are constantly being crowded out by more important ones.
