Protect Delicate Dresses While Traveling by Packing Them in a Tissue
Dresses with delicate embellishments such as sequins, beading or lace require extra care when transporting, but carrying a bag of clothes in addition to your luggage is a problem. Use tissue paper to protect your dress so you can pack it in your suitcase.
The tissue paper prevents other clothing in your bag from rubbing against the dress and causing the sequins or beads to peel off. It also protects your other clothes from sequined dresses or other sticky decorations. Spread out a layer of tissue paper, then lay out the dress, then another layer of fabric. Roll everything together so the dress can easily fit into your suitcase. If you have more than one delicate dress, alternating layers of fabric and dress, roll them up to wrap.
