Disable Trash and Screenshot Sound Effects on Mac
For most of us, the little sound effects that Mac creates aren’t particularly useful. The sound of the trash can and in particular the sound of the screenshot doesn’t make much sense. How-To Geek reminds us that you can turn off these sound effects.
To turn off these sounds, go to System Preferences> Sound, then click the Sound Effects tab. Look for the check box next to “Play user interface sound effects” and clear it. Obviously not everyone should be doing this, but it’s especially useful on a laptop if you use it a lot in public.
