Verizon to Add $ 20 to Latest Unlimited Data Customers Aug 21
For nearly a year, Verizon has been slowly adding $ 20 to the pricing for stragglers who still have unlimited data. Beginning August 21, Verizon is the last of these with a “Phase 3” rollout.
As noted by the Android fan site Droid-Life, Verizon is gradually increasing prices for an unlimited number of customers. This new Phase 3 looks set to haunt users with Alltel’s unlimited and all-in-one plans. Most customers have probably already noticed the price increase, but if you managed to avoid it, your days are numbered.
The price increase will increase the price of unlimited traffic from $ 30 to $ 50. The change will take effect as soon as you renew your next contract after August 21st. This means that if you just renewed your two-year contract today, you won’t see such price increases in two years, even if the deadline is August 21st. However, no matter where you are in the refresh cycle, time is running out for unlimited data.
