Rest of the Day: T-Mobile Provides Free Data to Play Pokémon Go
Next week, T-Mobile will reward customers who use their T-Mobile Tuesday app with free data to play Pokémon Go . In other words, you will be able to catch them all without considering your data plan.
- You need to use the T-Mobile app on Tuesdays July 19 to request your free data usage until August 2017. The app has free rewards once a week, such as discounts on purchases or free ice cream at Wendy’s. [T-Mobile via John Leger ]
- In other news, Twitch is moving to a new HTML5 video player and ditching Flash. The new player is currently in closed beta with Turbo paying users, but will eventually become the default player for the popular video game streaming site. [Kotaku]
- Google is hosting an indie gaming festival in San Francisco this September. They are currently accepting applications for Android games that are developed by no more than 15 people to participate in the festival. It is currently called the Indie Games Festival, a smart game from the “Indie Games Festival.” [The Verge]
