Add Slack Style Emoji Replacement to Your Mac
Finding and using Emoji on Mac is a little frustrating, so custom warping shares its set of replacements on GitHub, making it easy to place emoji wherever you need it.
Since Mountain Lion, Mac has had text expansion built in . Warpling just hooked up to this system and created a huge list of replacements based on the Slack system. The system is simple. Enter the name of the emoji you want surrounded by colons and it will automatically replace the emoji. So, you can enter something like :burrito:
or :toilet:
and it will automatically insert emojis. Even if you’re unfamiliar with Slack, it’s much easier than using regular Mac search. Go to GitHub to find the required file and installation instructions.
