Since Mountain Lion, Mac has had text expansion built in . Warpling just hooked up to this system and created a huge list of replacements based on the Slack system. The system is simple. Enter the name of the emoji you want surrounded by colons and it will automatically replace the emoji. So, you can enter something like :burrito: or :toilet: and it will automatically insert emojis.
