Three Delicious Ways to Use up Leftover Peanut Butter in a Jar

Oh, the last leftover bits of delicious peanut butter in the jar, how I hate wasting you. If you feel the same way, here are three clever ways to use them and improve your future meals.

To use this waste effectively, Food52’s Caroline Lange suggests making several different types of sauce: dressing, Asian-style dipping sauce, or flavorful marinade:

Make a bandage out of it. Miso + peanut butter + chili sauce + apple cider vinegar for pasta salad, peanut butter + soy sauce + sriracha + fish sauce for udon noodles or dipping. Soy sauce + garlic + sherry vinegar and you’ve got a tofu marinade (or whatever).

Best of all, you can mix them right in the peanut butter jar. Just add the ingredients to your liking, or check out their recipes from the link below. Of course, if you’re interested in something sweeter, you can also make peanut butter hot chocolate right in the jar.
