Paint can change the entire look of a room – in fact, so much so that it can affect the value of your home. Zillow studied tens of thousands of homes sold in the United States to see how paint colors in some rooms affect the sale price of a home.
Zillow Digs analyzed photographs of nearly 50,000 homes to see how the color of the room matched the selling price. For example, they found that houses with yellow kitchens were selling for $ 1,360 more than expected, and light gray living rooms were selling for $ 1104 more.
Of course, it is impossible to say that the house is sold more or less clearly because of the color of the paint – the data simply indicate numbers. However, experts point out that paint color can indeed affect the selling price of your home . Here are some additional findings from the study:
