You Don’t Have to Quit Your Day-to-Day Job to Be Happy.
If you don’t have the best job you could have, someone probably advised you to quit to keep you happy. It’s great for some, but it’s not the only way to improve their lives.
As creative writer Bianca Bass explains, the advice to “just quit” is, at best, a pipe dream for many people. Of course, there are people who quit their jobs, travel the world, start a business, or pursue new careers. It’s great for those people. But you don’t have to follow the same path, or you will fall into the curse of a miserable life. You can keep your day job and find satisfaction elsewhere, or even use this day job to improve your life in the future:
Don’t get me wrong, the stories of those who did it on their own are inspiring and deserve a round of applause. But for the vast majority of people, they are far from reality. We need more voices, perspectives and opinions from a wide variety of creative people.
Instead of sharing quotes like “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life,” why don’t we start celebrating those who are doing their best with what they currently have ?
We’ve talked a lot about how to tell when it’s time to quit . Sometimes it happens like this. However, the story of a man who quit his job and quit is not the only way to live. If you believe that you will never be happy while you are in your current job, you will never be happy. On the other hand, if you choose to stay, you can start channeling your energies towards making yourself happy in any way that has nothing to do with quitting smoking. The choice is yours.
