Hopscotch, the Learning to Program App for Kids, Now on IPhone
iOS: The Classics is one of the best tools for teaching kids to code , and an app that was previously iPad-only is now available on the iPhone.
We were fans of the original iPad version of Hopscotch and it looks like they managed to squeeze the same thing into the iPhone. The app is aimed at children between 9 and 11 years old, but a lot has to do with it regardless of your age. You can create pretty simple games, silly art projects, and more. Like many other similar tools, Hopscotch teaches programming concepts using a drag and drop interface based on simple triggers. It’s a smart way to teach basic coding concepts, and can make you a little less remorseful by giving your phone to your kid to play with.
