Mirror’s Edge Desktop
I’m very excited about Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst and this desktop as provided by the 0BUX reader for our Desktop Showcase definitely doesn’t help. Looks amazing. Here’s how to make it yours.
This is a Windows 10 desktop, but despite its unusual screen size and resolution, you can still get the same effect on your PC. It uses Rainmeter, so if you’re not familiar with how to customize your desktop with it, check out our Rainmeter Getting Started guide here before you start.
Here’s what you need:
- The Mirror’s Edge Wallpaper
- Tool setting and monitoring system for Rainmeter for Windows
- Rainmeter DeskTop skin to display date in upper left corner
- Rainmeter Elegance 2 Skin for Clock Top Left
- Minimalistic System Info Skin for Rainmeter for System Monitors in the lower left corner
- Monstercat Visualizer for Rainmeter for an audio visualizer that moves with the music (bottom)
- Classic Windows shell to make the taskbar transparent – 0BUX notes that all other app features are disabled, though
These are all moving parts for this. You can get the same effect pretty easily with fewer widgets if you want, or you can just hook this wallpaper and quit. Let’s not judge. Anyway, if you’re digging for a job here, head over to 0BUX’s Kinja blog (link below) and let them know you like the finished product!
