Binary and Hexadecimal Format Basics Explained in Video
Binary and hexadecimal numbers are a bit confusing at first glance. The idea that a computer uses numbers and letters to represent other numbers is not an easy idea to grasp, but Colleen at Adafruit does her best to explain it.
The video walks you through the highlights here, how binary represents decimal, how it is represented in hexadecimal, and why computers need it all to get started. These are all useful if you are starting out with programming or are just wondering why computer code looks like this. The video is a little out of date, so you might have noticed it when it first came out a couple of years ago, but if not, then this is a great explanation of how binary and hexadecimal formats work.
