Create a Miniature Speaker With Built-in Visualizer
Speakers aren’t particularly expensive these days, but most of them lack character. If you do not mind a little grease to drip to the elbows, the user Instructables andy.spikenzielabs demonstrates how to build a small micro drivers, in which is embedded a small visualizer.
You will need some basic soldering skills here, along with a small LED array, a few cables, and a speaker. Everything is enclosed in a laser-cut acrylic case, and the local hacker space should help you get it done, if you’re interested. If not, you’ll find the complete manual along with lots of photos on Instructables.
