Simple Monitor Desktop
Work Desk user the Flickrd.chasenelson simple, has only a few widgets and simple gradient wallpaper that does not distract. It’s perfect for a second screen, when you’re working on the first, or just as a quick preview on a monitor, you can minimize other things to check. Here’s how to set it up.
This is the Windows 7 desktop (although we can’t imagine you couldn’t get the same effect on Windows 8 or 10, if that’s what you have) using Rainmeter. If you’re new to Rainmeter, we have a great getting started guide that teaches you all the intricacies of creating your own desktops.
Here’s what you need to get your computer to look like this:
- Wallpaper (I had a hard time finding an exact match, but a horizontal rotation of this would be fine )
- Tool setting and monitoring system for Rainmeter for Windows
- Implosion2 Skin for Rainmeter for System Monitors Top Left and Center Left
- Eloane skin for Rainmeter to display time / date in center right
That’s all. We would probably scale down a bit if we were going to duplicate this setting, but judging from the available resolutions on Flickr, this is for a laptop screen (probably connected to an external larger display), so a larger scale makes sense. Whichever way you decide to do it, if you have questions about how this is all set up and how it all works, follow the Flickr link below and let d.chasenelson know you like the way it looks!
