PillDrill Tells You When Family Members Are on Medication
Keeping track of when to take one drug is fairly easy. Two or three is juggling. But the average older person takes five pills at a time , and many rely on family members to help them stay on track. A new gadget called PillDrill comes to the rescue.
The PillDrill hub shown in the video can recognize either pill bottles from its own kit or other pills with compatible labels. The person taking the pill scans the bottle in front of the concentrator and the system remembers that he has taken this medicine.
The hub emits an audible and visual alert when it is time for the next dose, and can also remind people through an additional application. Caregivers can also run an app on their phones to keep track of whether the dad is taking his medication. We’re already fans of medication tracking apps like Dosecast , but the relationship with the guardian, and the fact that the person taking the pills doesn’t need to operate the app means PillDrill satisfies a need that current apps lack. The PillDrill kit is available for $ 199.
