Kahoots Makes Sure You Never Forget to Connect With a New Contact
iOS: Many apps organize your contacts, and many even scan business cards for you and add them to your contacts. Kahoots does both, but adds a cool twist: It also lets you choose when to receive a reminder to get in touch with your new friend or business contact, right after you scan and add their business card.
Once you choose when you want to follow, Kahoots will contact you at the appointed time. By default, you can choose a time like tonight or tomorrow, or even a week or a month from now, but you can also set the time yourself so you can choose when you want to be contacted, or just deny further communication altogether and let Kahoots add person to your contacts and leave everything as it is. It’s a simple app, but the escort feature ensures you never forget to reach out to a new mentor for coffee, a new business contact to talk to, or even a new friend for lunch while you’re still in town.
You can view your list of new contacts at any time, reselect times for future appointments, or choose your preferred method of contacting them – by phone call, email or text message, right from the app. Kahoots will set you back two bucks, but if you meet a lot of people at work – or actually for something else – it can be helpful to help you remember to return to them without adding another to-do. -packaged list.
