Rest of the Day: Google Chrome Ends Support for Windows XP
With the release of a new version of Chrome, Google is saying goodbye to several old favorites. Maybe “favorites” is not the right word. The browser will no longer be updated to support Windows XP, Vista and OS X 10.8. Good night, sweet Vista and glossy menus.

- The free open source Microsoft Visual Studio Code editor is now available . It has been in development and has been available in beta for the past year or so, and today they just released the finished 1.0 product. [Visual Studio Code]
- Microsoft also released an interesting demo of its Cognitive Services API today called CaptionBot . All it does is automatically create an image caption of your choice describing its contents. - Google sells customizable cases for Nexus phones . They are called “Live cases” because you can load a photo from real life and print it on a case, preserving your Kodak moment like Han Solo in carbonite. [Android Blog]
