Where is it best
There are many good things about Fantastical 2, but what sets it apart most depends on its design. Fantastical 2 is incredibly easy to use, fast, and powerful enough for most people. Just like a regular calendar, you can view your events on the calendar, and they are visualized in a readable and easy-to-understand form. You can add new events without a lot of taps, and natural language input means you can enter an event just as if you were speaking it out loud.
Fantastical also offers enough options for viewing your calendar to make it useful for a wide variety of people. You can view the list in portrait mode, which offers both a ticker and a monthly calendar at the top, or flip your phone to landscape mode to see more details about your week. These three view modes make it easy to glance at your calendar to get a sense of your schedule at any time.
Fantastical 2 is constantly updated with new features, but more importantly, it is always up to date with new iOS versions and any new features that might come with a new iPhone (like Quick Actions on iPhone 6s) or in the operating system itself (like support widgets). Finally, the Fantastical 2 is just as reliable as the built-in features of Apple, which is one of the most important aspects of the calendar when it comes to that. Where it fails
The Fantastical’s most obvious flaw is the $ 5 price tag. The weekly view in Calendars 5 is good, somewhat better than Fantastical, but the rest of the interface is a bit lacking. Calendars 5 is also a universal app, so if you use iPad a lot it might be great to just get one app instead of two.
Week Calendar ($ 1.99) is another app that was once found in our app catalog. It’s packed with tons of features, including multiple views, integration with a navigation app of your choice, templates, widgets, and more. It’s also arguably the ugliest option available, but that didn’t stop it from becoming one of the most popular calendar apps out there.
