Wrap the Bike Tube Correctly, Starting Opposite the Rod.
Re-winding a bicycle tube is easy enough, but if done incorrectly, a little air will remain in the tube, which wastes space. The Global Cycling Network will show you how to do it right.
It’s a bit of common sense, but it’s also one of those things that most people don’t think about. If you need to rewrap the tubing, start by pulling it apart with the stem opposite you, make sure the valve is open, then wrap the tubing starting at the opposite end of the stem. When you’re done, screw on the valve, unfold it, and wrap the tubing around the stem itself. With this, everything will be as if you pulled it out of the box.
