How to Transfer Notes From Evernote to Apple Notes
One of the tiny little new features in the latest OS X El Capitan update is the ability to natively import Evernote files into Notes. If you’ve been thinking about switching from Evernote to Apple’s amazingly robust little Mac app , it’s easy to do now.
First, you need the Mac version of the Evernote app (plus the OS X 10.11.4 update). From there, the process of transferring everything is very simple:
- Open Evernote and click Edit> Select All.
- Click File> Export Notes.
- Enter a name for the file, remember the location of the files, and select the Evernote XML Format.
- Open Apple Notes.
- Click File> Import Notes … and select the file you saved from Evernote.
Everything, all your notes will not be in Apple Notes. If you only want specific notebooks, you can right-click the notebook in Evernote, select Export, and then follow steps two through four above.
