Clear Your Mind by Breaking Your Worries Into Three Categories

Worry, fear, and erroneous thoughts can sometimes take over any of us. When your mind is overwhelmed and overwhelmed, try this procedure to restore focus and clarity.

Quora user Jim Stone offers a five-step method to clear your mind. The first step is to write down everything on your mind on a blank piece of paper. Second, take another piece of paper and create three columns: “active concern”, “maybe later”, and “delete”. Group each item on the first sheet under one of these three categories. Here’s what Stone has to offer:

  • Delete all items in the delete column. Tell each element, one by one, that you are done with them and that they must go and never come back.
  • Take the items from the Maybe Later column and add them to your Maybe Later list. (If you don’t have a “maybe later” list, start one.)
  • Take items from the Active Anxiety column and place them in your planning system. (If you don’t have a scheduling system, get one.)

It ‘s kind of a brain dump , but perhaps even better because it involves actually processing everything in your head, at least a little. It helps you let go of things that don’t really matter. As for the really important things, writing them down helps to get them out of your head and doesn’t distract you yet. To learn more about this method, follow the links below.
