TweetDeck for Windows Is Officially Dead
TweetDeck has long been our favorite Twitter client for Windows , but today Twitter announced that it would kill the Windows version on April 15th.
While the Windows version of the TweetDeck app is dead, the web version lives on , as does the Chrome extension . This is an attempt to make the web application version of TweetDeck more consistent with the Windows application and presumably contain all the same functionality. This is partly due to a change that will allow you to instantly log into the web version of TweetDeck, provided that you are already logged into a regular Twitter site. The official changes will take effect on April 15th, when, presumably, the Windows version of the app will stop working.
