Organize Your Networking Equipment With Velcro Wall Board
Even basic networking equipment gets messy very quickly if a pile of loose cables under my desk is any indication right now. Placing your equipment on a simple wall or desk board can make your equipment that much cleaner.
As you can see in the above video from LinusTechTips , one of the best ways to keep your networking equipment organized and clean is to wall-mount it. However, if you’re renting (or just don’t want to ruin the walls) one wooden plank will do the trick too. Perhaps even better as it makes it easy to pick up and move equipment. This can come in handy when you need to fix something.
Most of the boxes you see in the video above are attached to the board with rolls of duct tape. They then used cable loops to keep the cables neat and snug against the edges of the boxes. As you can see in the video, this makes it easy to move an entire networking kit from one room (or building) to another. You no longer need to put everything in a box and collect in a new place.
