Ulysses, a Powerful Text Editor for IPad and Mac, Now on IPhone
Ulysses is one of the best writing tools available for Apple devices and today it concludes its trilogy with the release of an iPhone version of the app.
If you haven’t used it before, Ulysses is a bit like a regular supercharged text editor. On the one hand, this is the same type of distraction-free Markdown editor that we’ve seen hundreds of times. On the other hand, it is a complete set of organizational tools to help you organize your letter. If you’ve used something like Skrivner before , then Ulysses will make you feel at home. The new iPhone version is essentially just a scaled-down version of the Mac app, and it’s packaged as a universal app with an iPad version , so if you’ve already purchased it, you’ll have an iPhone version as well.
The iPhone version supports dark and light writing modes, text statistics, writing goals, a range of Markdown tools, photos, and more. The iPhone version (along with the iPad version) is as feature-rich as the desktop app, which is a feat in itself. Ulysses is certainly expensive for a mobile app, but if you want to understand how the app works, you can check it out on Mac for free .
