Shorten Jeans by Rolling Them on Your Knees

If you have not had the opportunity to hem jeans that are too long, but want to wear them, roll them up to the knee to get the length you want. This technique sounds a little odd, but it looks better than your other alternatives.

Tucking excess fabric under the legs will create an uneven hem and the rolling will not always look good. The next time you need to shorten your jeans as much as possible, pull the excess fabric around the knee until the hem is the length you want, then fold it down to the knee. Adjust it so that the folded fabric blends in with the natural folds in the knees. This trick works best with jeans that are cut close to the knee and darker jeans that won’t show wrinkles.
