Opening a wine bottle without a corkscrew is not the best option , but one day you will forget it or lose it. Fortunately, this key trick works great and there is very little risk of corrupting the key in the process.
In this video, YouTube channel DaveHax shows you how to open a wine cork with the tool everyone has in their pocket. Remove one of the stronger keys from the keychain and insert it diagonally into the cork. This will take a lot of pressure, so you can use a shirt or rag for padding. Once you have placed it as far away as possible, use the key like a handle to turn and pull the plug at the same time. After a little work, you can grab the cork and pull it out. Usually such tricks require the use of some kind of leverage that exposes the key to the risk of bending, but not with this approach. All you need is some elbow grease.
