If you’re interested in building a weird but possibly useful little multipurpose device, Instructables user diyfuntech demonstrates a way to create a speaker / flashlight inside a Tic Tac box.
When you complete this project, you will have a super bright LED lamp and a tiny speaker that accepts an auxiliary input. You will still need a power supply or battery to power the entire device, but it will probably be handy to keep close at hand in case of power outages. At least it looks fun to build.
