Keep Your Handbag From Slipping While Driving With a Scarf
If you keep your bag in the passenger seat, you know it can fly if you brake or stop suddenly, and. your belongings become an annoying mess that is scattered all over the floor and under the seats. Luckily, all you need to keep your bag upright is a scarf.
The video above shows how this works (skip to 1:08). Wrap the scarf around the headrest so that the loose ends hang down to the purse. Then thread the loose ends of the scarf through the handles of the purse and pull the scarf through the loop. Tighten to secure the bag. Make sure you don’t sag too much so that your purse stays in place even if you slow down. You can use any type of scarf that is long enough to wrap around the headrest and bag, so even if it isn’t. If you wear a scarf today, then a thin one in the glove compartment will also work. You can even use the same technique the next time you need to move a gift bag or some delicate food you don’t need on the floor of the car.
