How to Watch Super Bowl 50 Online for Free, No Cable
This Sunday, cord cutters across the country will take part in the biggest tradition of the year: trying to figure out how to stream the Super Bowl online. Well, we have your answer, sports fans. Here’s how to stream a great game at home over the internet to any device you want to watch.
This year, CBS offers a wide variety of ways to stream the main event. Mobile live streaming is only available to Verizon Wireless customers, but everyone else can watch the game, including the show during the break, online using one of several options:
- Internet: CBS Sports will have a live stream here that you can watch on your computer or from any device with a web browser.
- Set-top boxes: If you have an Apple TV, Android TV, or Roku box, you can watch the game through the CBS Sports app . You can download the Android TV app here and the Roku app here . For Apple TV, search for “CBS Sports” (assuming it isn’t present right now, which it probably is).
- Xbox One: Current-gen Xbox users can also download the CBS Sports app from the Xbox One Store to stream the game. Sorry PS4 fans.
- Windows 10: If you want to watch videos on your computer, but the stream in your browser isn’t working, you can also download – tell me now – the CBS Sports Windows 10 app from the Windows App Store to stream it. live too.
- IPad and Android Tablets: If you want to watch the game on a 10-inch screen in your hand, over a 40-inch screen in your living room, you already know what exercise is, download the free CBS Sports Apps for Android and iOS. …
- iPhones and Android Phones: If you want a big game on an even smaller screen, or need to go somewhere while playing but don’t want to miss anything, then you need the NFL mobile apps. Here are the downloads for Android and iOS . Both apps are free, but as we mentioned, Super Bowl live streams are only available to Verizon Wireless customers. Sad day.
All this in addition to regular broadcasts. You can catch the game on CBS, which will be streamed live and free in most regions. If you are using an OTA antenna, you can check TV Fool to find a branch and channel in your area carrying the game. If all else fails, there is definitely a bar or pub where the game is played. For those outside the US, you may need an NFL Game Pass to watch, which costs $ 99 a year (although they do offer a 7-day trial that might work if you haven’t used it yet).
Overall, that’s a pretty impressive range for the biggest football event of the year. The cord cutters are easy to remove this time. The game kicks off at 6:30 pm ET on Sunday, February 7th .
