What Procrastination Does to Your Body

If you wait until the last minute, your body could be seriously damaged. If you are about to have a talk, presentation or something else, the normal reaction is to put it off until later. It may be nice, but all that stress and tension is taking its toll on your health.

This short video from Men’s Health shows what happens to our bodies when we procrastinate. As it turns out, procrastination actually puts our body on high alert, a fight-or-flight state of readiness, which is very similar to stress. Chronic stress of this magnitude can lead to a whole host of unpleasant health problems , but you’re not doomed. While temporary commitments are an unavoidable aspect of life, try to incorporate stress-relieving techniques such as bathing , walking, and of course, avoiding multiple tasks at the same time in your daily life.
