Day One 2 Overhaul of the Logging Application, Adding Some Magazines and Photos

iOS / Mac: Day One has long been a popular journaling app for Apple devices . It is feature-rich, well-designed and constantly updated. A new version for iOS and Mac is coming out today with a few added features and a new price tag.

The somewhat awkwardly named Day One 2 adds a bunch of new features. Now you can keep multiple journals at the same time and add multiple photos to each entry. You can also give each magazine its own color and title. This makes it much easier to keep separate journals so that you can keep one personal journal, another for travel, etc. The iOS version also adds a new map view so you can see which journal entries were generated at specific locations.

However, there is one catch. The app is not a free update and actually has a pretty big price increase. The iOS version starts at $ 4.99 per week, but will go up to $ 9.99. The Mac app launches for $ 19.99, and it jumps to $ 39.99 in a week, which makes sense for a lot of reasons , but is still a pretty tricky pill to swallow if you’ve already got the original versions.
