Amazon Kindle Redesigned With New Home Screen and Better Access to Settings

Amazon is rolling out an update for the Kindle Paperwhite and Voyage this month that will change the look of your home screen. Along with the new home screen, it will also give you better access to general settings and book recommendations.

The big difference here is the new home screen, which, as you’d expect, is more shopping-focused. You will still see your library on the home screen, but you will also have immediate access to your wishlists and the new Recommended For You section. The wishlist section includes all the samples you downloaded, along with any books that are currently on your wishlist. If you are using Goodreads, it will also show you everything on your Want To Read shelf. The recommendation section is also an improvement, including personalized recommendations and anything your Goodreads friends read. Finally, the redesigned design also gives you quick access to Airplane Mode and device syncing right from your home screen. The update will be released sometime this month, and if you haven’t turned off the auto-update feature on your Kindle, this will happen automatically.
