Copy Me, It’s a Free, Great Meal Planner That Works on Any Device
Some of the best meal planning apps are no longer available and others are paid. Copy Me That is a great alternative that combines recipe management, meal planning, and shopping list creation.
Browser extensions and mobile browser buttons allow you to import recipes from any site. One of the nice things about import is that it automatically selects important parts of a recipe and unchecks unnecessary ones (like grocery links that some sites add to their recipes), and you can tag, edit, rename, or insert a new photo. to each recipe. You can also create your own recipes here, or import them from the Copy Me That community.
The shopping list is basically what you’d expect: an ingredient checklist, crafted from your chosen recipes. You can browse the list by product category or by recipe.
Meal Planner is extremely easy to use. Just select a recipe from the queue and select a date in the weekly overview. From here, you can add notes to each date and add recipe ingredients to your shopping list. Unfortunately, the weekly view is fixed – you can’t see, say, Friday through next Friday (although you can choose the start of the week as Saturday, Sunday, or Monday) – and there is no monthly view.
However, if you’re looking for a free (and ad-free) meal planner, take a look at Copy Me That.
