Make a Super Bright LED Lighting Fixture That You Can Adjust the Brightness As You Like
Whether you’re looking for a reliable lighting solution for your home workspace or workshop, this custom design uses dimmable super-bright LEDs that don’t consume a lot of power.
In this video from Make YouTube, host Darbin Orvar shows you how to create a state-of-the-art LED lighting fixture that can be dimmed remotely. Orvar uses walnut for the box and some sanded polycarbonate panels at the bottom for light to pass through. This build also uses a few high-power LOHAS LEDs and a tiny 5-volt Adafruit Arduino accessory for dimming functionality . With this setup, you have very intense bright light when you need it, and a way to dim the light down to a lower level when you don’t need it. You could probably tweak it for other purposes as well, such as providing much-needed light in the winter or in windowless homes . You can find a list of required consumables and special instructions at the link below.
