Turn Your Day Baked Goods Into Decadent Bread Pudding
Bread pudding is a real treat when made with regular bread, but using leftover baked goods can take it to the next level.
I know, I know, you guys have “never heard of baking leftovers,” but trust me, it can happen. And if this really is something that will never happen under your roof, you will be glad to know that many bakeries often sell their used goods at a discounted price.
How many cookies you can replace depends on the type of cookie. Croissants are strong enough to take up 100% of the pudding, but crumbier cakes, muffins and danish shouldn’t be more than 50% of your bread. (The other 50% could be regular bread or croissants; I vote croissants.) This can be done with just about any bread pudding recipe, but the link below has some great assembly and flavoring tips.
