RemixOS Brings Android Desktop to Intel-Based PCs
Android is a pretty versatile operating system , but it’s not quite ready for desktop use just yet. RemixOS reveals what this could have been with Android windowed apps running on Intel-based PCs.
RemixOS is a custom Android variant with a custom desktop interface that displays Android apps in resizable windows. RemixOS is available as an alpha version, which, according to the developer, can be installed on PCs with Intel processors, including several Macs. Of course, Android apps are usually designed for a touchscreen interface, and most PCs don’t have touchscreens, so some hardware configurations might have some minor issues. Fortunately, RemixOS is dual-boot or USB-bootable, so if you want to try Android on your desktop, you can do so with minimal risk.
