Make a Secret Stash in the Bookshelf to Hide Valuables With Old Bindings
Hiding valuables is a great way to protect them . Even if someone breaks into your home, they may not get away with the product. This clever hideout uses old three-ring binders that are probably lying around somewhere.
This video from HouseholdHacker YouTube channel is filled with all sorts of helpful tips to keep your home safe and your valuables safe, including clever use of some old three-ring folders. The more boring and uninteresting they look, the better. Cut one cover from two folders, then cut both covers from the third folder. As you will see in the video, make sure you leave enough lid (about an inch and a half) so the tabs can line up with each other when the back of the binder is on the table. Then use hot glue to glue each tab together. When you place this binder box on your bookshelf, you have something like three boring folders sitting next to each other. However, when you open it, you have a great place to store cash, electronic devices, or other valuables.
