Create a Smart Calendar and Notification Center for Family Agendas With the Raspberry Pi
We’ve already seen the Raspberry Pi coupled with a cheap LCD screen to create a smart calendar before , but ozua Instructables takes it a step further by offering a family agenda, weather forecasts, local events, and even real-time transportation information.
The basics here are pretty simple. The Pi turns into a web server that runs a custom homepage. This homepage brings together all kinds of real-time data about the weather, public transport and everything you need, as well as a shared calendar that anyone in the house can access. Plus, there’s an old laptop LCD that attaches to the wall with some customizable buttons, and that’s about it. The aspect of a webpage makes it very easy to modify it to suit your needs, so even if it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, you should be able to customize it as needed.
