Focus Your Strategy for Achieving Your Goal on What Motivates You, Not Other People.
You should go to the gym! All the stretched muscles and sweating in front of strangers will feel great, and you will be motivated to get in better shape, right? Not? Well, perhaps you need a motivation plan that works best for you .
As business blog Entrepreneur points out, not everyone has the same motivation. Obvious, right? Yet we often strive to achieve goals by using the same things that motivate other people. “Nothing beats feeling thin.” Yeah, well, maybe you’ve never tasted chicken vindaloo and then a bowl of ice cream. Or, or, this is crazy: maybe the word “thin” is just not a goal to start with. Maybe health is more important to you than a certain body type. All people are different, and if you are going to develop a plan for self-improvement, you need motivations that match your needs and desires:
After you develop a strategy, every waking moment you should think about its implementation. Find out what motivates, propels, and keeps you going, even when things get tough. If this is truly going to be your best year, then fulfillment should be the focus every day.
This applies to all areas. Some people enjoy studying or writing when they get a paper notebook in front of them. Others will just stop if they have to write with a physical pen (hello, that’s me). Maybe expanding your education is easier in the classroom, or maybe you are more interested in being alone at home. Be that as it may, study your own motives before embarking on a plan designed specifically for someone else.
