Use a Wok for Soup (and Other Fried Foods Without Stirring)
Woks are not units. In addition to frying, you can steam soups, meats or vegetables, and boil pasta in a skillet.
At The Splendid Table, Chef Ming Tsai shares the many virtues of woks and their versatility. Soup, in particular, seems like an ideal wok dish because it can be cooked faster than traditional cookware:
You add the broth, bring it to a boil and let it boil. Since the top of the wok has a large surface area, it can quickly shrink for you.
Thanks to the concave bottom, the wok is also great for frying. You will use less oil.
