Four Decent Last Minute Gifts You Can Get at the Grocery Store
You go to visit relatives on vacation, and it amazes you – you forgot a gift to a family member, which always seems to go unnoticed. However, if you can pop into a grocery store, you still have a chance to buy something relatively good.
Grocery stores are usually not the first place you buy gifts, but they are all over the place, and when the holiday season approaches, they have the advantage of being still open. If you’re looking for a last-minute gift, Consumer Reports’ Toby Stanger suggests you consider some of the following:
- Gourmet food and drink : A bottle of good wine, liquor or gourmet coffee. Even an unusual pasta sauce can be a good gift for the right person.
- Candy : If they have a sweet tooth, candy will never go unnoticed.
- Subscriptions to magazines: Take a magazine, which you think would be interested in, and wrap it with a note, which states that you have created for them a year-long subscription.
- Gift Cards : Some people don’t like them, but some people like them (me). Sometimes the gift of freedom to buy whatever they want matters more than you think.
Sometimes grocery stores also have seasonal gift shows, so you might find something there. It might not sound too personal, but it’s better than showing up with no gift at all! You can find some more great last minute gifts at the link below.
