Lifehacker Readers: Let’s Tackle the 2016 Money Challenge Together

Honestly: you can probably save a few dollars over the next year. Monetary challenges like the 52 week challenge are a great way to save some money and get started with personal finances in the process. Let’s start together next year. Your choice.

In a recent post on monetary issues, a SaveTheManuals reader suggested:

It would be great if LifeHacker / Two Cents could make a game out of this. It is easier to save / invest when the group does it and encourages each other.

We agree, so let’s get started. To save some extra money and learn a thing or two about our spending habits, we’re going to launch a cash contest in January. I, along with several other Lifehacker contributors, will be saving with you and we will all share our progress along the way. But first, we need to select a task that is available to everyone.
