Boxy Brings Inbox From Gmail to the Mac Desktop
Mac: Gmail’s Inbox is a bit polarizing , but if you consider yourself a fan of it then Boxy is worth a try. Boxy is a Mac client for Inbox that transports a web application as a desktop application.
Boxy looks and works the same as Inbox. Your emails are divided into Inbox, Delayed, and Done folders. You can pin important emails, and the interface should be familiar to anyone who has used Inbox. As you’d expect, it also supports multiple accounts, works with any Gmail account, has built-in OS X notifications, and supports keyboard shortcuts. Boxy isn’t really a revolutionary new approach to Inbox, but it brings a web app to the desktop elegantly. If you don’t care about things like notifications or an elegant interface, keep in mind that you can always create your own apps from web apps using Fluid .
