Google Has Released Apps for Phones and Contacts in the Play Store
Android: Google has released standard phone and contact apps in the Play Store, taking them away from Android, which means we’ll start getting more regular updates with exciting new features.
For starters, Google has added a couple of new niceties to the stock phone app. You can now block callers from the dialer, and when you call a company that Google recognizes, you can now see relevant information, such as where it is located and when it will open. More importantly, now that these apps are decoupled from the main Android operating system, updates can be made faster.
