A Home Away From Airbnb’s Home Office
The above workspace filled with artwork looks like it might be in someone’s home, but it’s actually an office workspace. It is part of the Airbnb headquarters in San Francisco.
As unusual as this office is, its home design suits a company that helps people rent out their homes to travelers. According to an office tour posted on the Apartment Therapy website, many of the jobs were inspired by, or even copied from, ads on Airbnb. In addition to pointing out that corporate offices should not be impersonal and dull, the workspace above reminds us that surrounding ourselves with art and beautiful objects can help us take our creativity a notch higher (or at least make our work more enjoyable). … Check out more photos of the Airbnb office below.
If you have your own workspace to show off, share it with us by adding it to our Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Flickr pool. Make sure all photos you add are at least 640×360 in size. Maintaining their 16: 9 aspect ratio also helps! Include a little text about what you used, how you came up with the design, and any other important details. If your smart organization and good design flair are striking, you might be the next ambassador for your workspace.
