Empty Desktop
Aside from the time, battery level, and music in the bottom left corner, you might think it’s just a wallpaper, but it isn’t – it’s Dan Xi’s desktop, and he loves that it’s blank. Every time he sits down, it’s a great start. Here’s how he did it.
Dan is working on a Mac, and to be honest, he has the dock tucked away until he needs it – but even that is set up too. When he sits down to work, this is what he sees. If you like the look, here’s what you’ll need:
- John Carey Wallpaper of Fifty Foot Shadows
- System Monitor and GeekTool Configuration Utility for OS X for System Time and Battery Indicators.
- cDock 2 for docking station setup
- LiteIcon for customizing dock icons
- Zion badge set
- Bowtie with the theme “Nameless” to display “Now Playing” under the system information.
It’s a nice, clean view – and if you like the icons being hidden, here’s a view with the dock configured shown:
