Dine Makes Finding the Perfect Restaurant Easy
iOS: Yelp isn’t always the most reliable source for a great restaurant. Agencies can falsify surveys; users can leave reviews based on what you don’t care about. Dine is a simplified version of Yelp that only tells you what you want to know about the restaurant.
Dine is currently only available in eight cities: Austin, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC. Instead of relying on Yelp reviews, the app shows you reviews of publications and food critics. To find places to eat, you tell the app what area you want, what kind of food you want, and then you can choose from several features you are looking for in your restaurant: BYOB, Date, Brunch, Dinner at Restaurant Bar, etc.
For me, features are what sets this app apart from others. You can find out when restaurants are open on Yelp and if they serve booze. But you can’t filter by other details that you might want from your dining experience, and I’m spending more time than I would like going through reviews to find those specific details. This app does all the research for you. Plus, there are reviews from professionals.
