Delight Turns Each New Tab Into an Immersive Frame-by-Frame Scene
Chrome: There are many ways to brighten up your New Tab page, but Delight is one of the most inspiring (and beautiful) I’ve ever seen. It’s also functional: it combines your most visited pages, weather, Chrome apps, bookmarks, and history with a gorgeous time-lapse that makes you just stop and watch.
I’ve been using Delight for a while, ever since it was officially launched, and out of all the new tab add-ons I try, this is one of the few I’ve installed throughout the entire time. It loads quickly, slow-motion video doesn’t stutter (it stutters a little on Windows, but it could be my computer), and I have complete control over what is displayed around the edges of the scene. The video above gives you a quick glimpse of how it all works (although be careful there is music in the video, the extension doesn’t play music, just so you know!)
In addition to these gorgeous scenes with rotating night skies, natural wonders and other gorgeous natural landscapes, you can include your usual list of the most frequent sites you visit, add several cities where you want to track the weather and time (and switch 24 or 12 hour time, temperature Fahrenheit or Celsius) and add quick links to Chrome apps, bookmarks, and browser history. If this is all too cluttered for you and you just need a landscape, you can turn it all off as well. Follow the link below to give it a try.
