Wyndow Helps You Stay Informed About Events and Shows in Your Area
Finding concerts, comedy shows, and even more intimate activities like wine tasting or reading books can be difficult if you don’t already know where to look, but Wyndow wants to give you a one-stop destination to find and read all about them. Best of all, it works anywhere.
Wyndow is sort of a local event search engine. Give it access to your location (or refuse it and enter it manually), and you will see events near you for the time and date that you set in the upper right corner of the page. By default, it helps you find events that occur within 30 miles of you (although you can change this) on the day of the search, usually this evening, but you can change the time frame to morning, afternoon, or any date you choose. Then watch the results update instantly.
Of course, how well this service works for you depends largely on what’s going on in your area, but given that you can pretty much tweak the search range, dates and times, you can probably find something. The site is in beta right now, and honestly, it makes money by encouraging you to book the events you find directly through them – that way they get a share. If you don’t already have a list of sites you look for events like this, this can be a great way to find something to do after work or over the weekend.
