Google Now Awards Local Experts for Contributing to Google Maps
Earlier this year, Google Maps added Local Experts , a feature that rewarded those who contributed to Maps reviews and content with a great profile. Now, local experts will receive real, top-notch rewards.
With the new update, Google has updated its local expert level system. Each new level receives special privileges for people who make a significant contribution. At lower levels, you will participate in a giveaway or receive special early access to new Google features. However, as the level rises, the rewards become more substantial. Tier 4, for example, gives you 1 TB of free Google Drive for two years. Not a bad deal if you’re already adding reviews and photos of the places you visit in the city.
